BIODUN DABIRI – CHAIRMAN
Biodun Dabiri who is currently the Executive Vice Chairman of Radix Capital Partners, is a consummate corporate finance specialist who has handled some of the largest and most complex transactions in the Nigerian Capital Markets over a period spanning 35 years. He has been involved in the conceptualization, capitalization and restructuring of a wide variety of ideas and Companies. He cut his teeth in the investment banking space while in the then NAL Merchant Bank, (the first Merchant bank in Nigeria established in 1960) where at a time, he was in charge of the bank’s corporate finance department that actively participated in the financial reforms in the 1980s’ which resulted in the indigenization, privatization and commercialization of Government enterprises and ultimate listing of those entities on the Nigerian Stock Exchange.
Biodun, in conjunction with a group of investors, packaged the corporate spin off of Guaranty Trust Bank Plc’s shareholding in Magnum Trust Bank Plc (now part of Sterling Bank Plc – and co-managed the bank between 1999 – 2007.
Pursuant to the Nigerian banking consolidation directives, he put together the investment banking competencies of the banks that merged into Sterling Bank Plc to form Sterling Capital Market, which he managed until his resignation in 2008, having played a prominent role in merger and acquisition of corporates, local and off shore fund raising activities consummated during the first and second rounds of the financial sector consolidation exercises.
In 2008, he spearheaded the formation of Radix Capital Partners, a Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) licensed investment banking boutique which to date has assisted Federal Government agencies (AMCON), State Governments and Corporates in the issuance of over N6.5trillion in debt and equity instruments.
Biodun is a 1977 graduate of University of Ibadan, a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountant of Nigeria having trained with Deloitte, Haskins & Sells (now Deloitte Touche) Chartered Accountants. He is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers and a dealing member of the Nigerian Stock Exchange. He was a member of the Board of Central Securities Clearing System (CSCS) - the central depository of the Nigerian Capital Market which he helped midwife. He has also served on numerous boards including Sterling Bank Plc, Magnum Trust Bank Plc, Nigerian Stockbrokers Ltd, Protea hotel and others in the hospitality, manufacturing and health care sectors.
He is currently the Chairman of Lekki Free Trade Zone which remains the flagship of the Lagos State Government’s industrial development initiatives and arguably the largest economic zone in Sub-Saharan Africa, encompassing the Lekki Deep Seaport, Lekki International airport, Dangote Petrochemical Complex and numerous industries.
KUNLE J. ADEBOYE - MANAGING DIRECTOR
Kunle J. Adeboye is a seasoned Sales and Marketing Strategist with over 21 years of hands-on experience in the FMCG and Financial Services sectors. A pioneer staff of a PFA under the Contributory Pension Scheme; as Chief Marketing Officer, Kunle played a pivotal role in the development and implementation of various business strategies which helped transform and sustain two (2) Tier1 PFAs and a top 15 PFA. His experience and record have established him as a turnaround manager with a highly analytical mind and keen eyes for business growth and expansion opportunities. His experience in the pension industry since 2006, has imbued him with very strong finance and leadership skills.
Kunle is a 1992 graduate of the University of Ibadan. He has an MBA, with specialization in Strategic Business Management, from the Metropolitan School of Business and Management, UK., along with diverse training and certifications. Kunle Adeboye is a Member of the National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria, Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, Chartered Institute of Marketing, UK and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Loan & Risk Management of Nigeria and the Institute of Management Consulting. Mr. Adeboye is a Certified Management Consultant.
OLASENI ODUWOLE - DIRECTOR
Olaseni Oduwole is a highly experienced investment banker with extensive experience in capital markets, privatization and divestitures, mergers and acquisition as well as structured finance. He was part of the team that commenced investment banking in FBN(Merchant Bankers) limited, now FBN Capital Limited in 1990 and at various times was Head of corporate finance, Head of Credit and Marketing and Chief Executive Officer of Premium Securities, now FBN Securities Limited.
As the General Manager and head of Corporate Finance in Sterling Capital Markets, he was also instrumental to the institution becoming a leading investment banking brand in the country. He has assisted in the listing of a number of companies on the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange and handled some landmark acquisitions and divestitures transactions. During the consolidation of the financial industry, he played a prominent role in the mergers and acquisitions of a number of banks and insurance companies and also the fundraising exercises of the merged entities. A versatile credit officer, he was involved in the structuring of the financing model, among others, for the construction of major Nigerian infrastructures, including the gas pipeline for the Lagos metropolitan which involved a number of major financial institutions and entailed multi-products instruments.
Olaseni holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Ibadan and an MBA with specialization in finance from the University of Lagos. He is a Council member of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers and also a dealing member of the Nigerian Stock Exchange. He is widely traveled and has attended a number of management and product training programs organized by INSEAD, Fontainebleau, France, HASS School of Business, University of California, USA and Euromoney, UK.
ROTIMI FASHOLA - DIRECTOR
A chartered insurer and a seasoned marketing expert, Mr. Fashola holds an MBA in Marketing from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria. With over 30 years’ experience and a remarkable track record in the insurance and financial services industry, Fashola has earned a reputation as a truly accomplished and highly respected professional. Between 1991 and 1993, he was the General Manager/Chief Executive Officer of Liberty Assurance Company Limited. He later joined Industrial And General Insurance Plc where he re-engineered the company’s marketing unit to achieve maximum efficiency that placed IGI ahead of the competition. Having served in various top management capacities, Mr. Fashola was appointed to the board in 1999 as Executive Director, Marketing. Prior to his appointment as Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, he served as the Deputy Managing Director from 2007 to 2014 and later Acting Managing Director.
He is a Fellow of numerous institutions, including the National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria (NIMN), Institute of Directors (IOD), Institute of Direct Marketing (IDM) and the West African Insurance Institute (WAII), The Gambia. He is an Associate of Chartered Insurance Institute of London (ACII) and the Chartered Institute of Arbitration, (ACI Arb) (London). Mr. Fashola is an alumnus of both the West African College of Insurance and Risk Management in The Gambia and the Global Institute for Leadership Development (GILD), United States. He is a member of the Governing Council of WAII and the West African Insurance Companies Association (WAICA).
He currently serves on the Board of many companies both local and abroad, including WAICA Reinsurance Corporation Plc, Sierra Leone; National Insurance Corporation (NIC), Uganda; IGI Gamstar Insurance Limited, The Gambia; Global Trust Savings and Loans Limited; Investment Profiles Limited; IGI Pension Fund Managers Limited; Sonarwa Holdings, Rwanda; and Sonarwa Life Insurance Company, also in Rwanda.
FAUZIYYAH K. KASIM (KIKE) - DIRECTOR
UMMAHANI AHMAD AMIN – INDEPENDENT DIRECTOR
experience in law practice particularly in finance and capital markets. She is the principal partner of The Metropolitan Law Firm, a full-service law firm headquartered in Abuja with specialized broad Islamic banking & finance practice, which she founded in 2008 together with her consultancy outfit, The Metropolitan Skills Limited provides consultancy and capacity building services. Her immense contribution to the advancement of the niche area in Nigeria earned her recognition as a subject matter expert in the industry.
Since obtaining her qualifying certificate to practice law in Nigeria in 2003, she has served in both public and private sector capacities including her appointment as the Senior Special Assistant (Technical) to the Minister of State, Federal Ministry of Commerce and Industry in 2009. In 2020, she was also appointed as the Senior Financial Flows Consultant for the LINKS Programme initiated by the Department for International Development (DFID) in the United Kingdom.
Ummahani is a law graduate of Bayero University, Kano, and holds a Masters degree in Business and Commercial Law from the same institution. She is a certified PPP expert from the Institute of PPP, Washington DC, USA, and holds a Diploma in Negotiation Skills from the International Negotiation Academy, Johannesburg, South Africa.
She is a member of reputable professional institutes such as the Institute of Directors; Society for Corporate Governance; Non-Interest Finance Association of Nigeria; and Association of Investment Advisers and Portfolio Managers. She also sits on the Board of various organizations including the Nigerian Exchange Limited, One17 Capital Limited, and Salam Takaful Insurance Limited.
